Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Outcome without a verified action link

Surfaces were not clean to say the least and a rub over with some 80 grit sandpaper on the shield and the crimped end on the wire, it's cured it.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Evening all, Just had my car MOT'd today and noticed this evening that the near side light isn't self levelling. Anyone know if there is a sensor for each side of just one that sets both? I know there's definitely a sensor mounted on the near side coffin arm but can't recall one on the other side. Just trying to work out where to start if anyone's had this issue that could shed some light (no pun intended) on this?

POST 2 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Ok, so did a bit of research and found out the levelling motors are on the back of the headlights. There is a metal shield covering it held on with one torx screw, also clamping down an earth cable. Surfaces were not clean to say the least and a rub over with some 80 grit sandpaper on the shield and the crimped end on the wire, it's cured it.
