Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

hI ALL,
New to this forum. Have a 911 996 turbo. late 2002 facelift model.
The heater does not get warm until I place it on high so I assume this means the system has air in it as this is what used to happen in VW's I had. I am not getting overheating problems so wonder if something else could be causing this ?
Does anyone know how to bleed the air or is it best to go to OPC ? could this be something else ?
Thanks in advance
Jools :dont know:
the workshop manual states that the turbo requires the car to be connected to the PST or PIWIS to be bled properly. Any indy should be able to do that for you.
Re: heater and possible air
If you fancy driving up a few junctions of the M5 to junction 6 Worcester I will give it the once over if you want and make sure it is ok.
Great offer
Thanks for the kind offer but as it is not over heating or misbehaving itself I shall leave it alone for the time being but if the offer is open then would like to bring it along at a later date if ok with you ?
I am loving this car, just have to get used to the tiptronic as I have never been keen on autos and the tip is still a viscous coupling so it doesn't change as quick as a manual and does not allow certain changes.
This car would be a handful to manage around town in manual I think so maybe it will be ok in the longrun ?. Still nothing like changing down a couple of cogs and burying your foot into the floor.
Thanks mate
mine the same dont feel any real heat until on high. had it a month now i love this car.been to porsche for a belt change they gave it a once over gave it a clean bill of health. 8)
heater and possible air
That's good and reassuring to know, maybe it is just a Porsche glich and it really is not a problem.
I had looked at the x50 tuning cars but when I drove the normally tuned one, I found that more than powerful enough lol. I can do silly speed in silly seconds and I HAVE to go steady because it all happens so easily.
Maybe I just need to live with the car awhile and then see how it goes, at least I know how to measure the oil now through this forum and am happy at that. This forum is a great place and I am happy to be a member
Thanks guys
