Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Guys, I've had my '03 C4S since August last year and can honestly say it is the best car I have ever owned!! When I last posted, I asked about the exhaust upgrade and GT4 referred me to H&S which I will definitely be following up. However: Since I had the car, a few times, the radio turned on, but I only got sub-bass out of the speakers, and then after driving and a couple of speed bumps, the rest of the audio kicked in. Last weekend however, the sound went and is now only playing out of the top left (passenger side) speakers. I have tried replacing the fuses (D7 & D8), but this doesn't seem to have worked. Any suggestions would be really really appreciated, along with any thoughts on whether to bite the bullet and upgrade the audio in the car. I don't want to go overboard, but I tend to listen to more music in car than at home or on the tube - so I would be willing to consider a few options. I guess my budget would be £1.5k tops... All suggestions very welcome and appreciated! S. :worship:

POST 2Original post

Since your car is a 2003 model it will be fitted with the Porsche 'MOST' system whereby the audio components are controlled digitally via fibre optic links. This fact alone can make upgrading the audio system a little more difficult, but alas, not impossible. I can't offer any suggestions as to why it is playing up, sorry. Fit a PSE and then you'll not want any music on in the cabin.... :thumb:

POST 3Original post

Your suggested symptoms of occasional dropping in and out of different speakers etc might simply suggest loose connections perhaps? Maybe a call to 'Cartronics' in Byfleet would help? http://www.cartronics.co.uk/
