Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Had a chat and the brakes and discs wouldn't be OEM, he said they use a couple of different brands depending on supply and price.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Would welcome some advice please on the following quote. It's just passed its MOT but the following have come up on the OPC advisory.
Should mention that this is a 2004 C4S.

Tyres and Wheel Alignment
Both fronts and rears are wearing on the inner edge, still legal, about 3mm whereas I think there's at least 5mm on the remaining two thirds of the tyre. Recommending replacement - for new tyres:
Fronts: £340
Rears: £557
Wheel Alignment: £100 (1.8hrs work - normally £222, subject to buying tyres from them).
Indie Wheel Alignment - £80 ex VAT
I'd rather get a bit more life out of the tyres and just keep a close eye on them. Is it worth getting a wheel alignment done now in a bid to try and halt the excessive inner tyre wear? Will I need to get it done again when I fit new tyres? What are peoples thoughts?
Btw, I did get obligatory telling off for mixing tyres, N2 & N3's
Oil Leak
Minor oil leak which may mean engine out inspection, been told to keep an eye on it for now. Given my warranty is up in a month would I be better asking them to look into it now?
As long as you know they're a good independent I'd go with them. Good independents will give you better value for money and the parts they use will be the exact same OEM parts just without the Porsche part numbers and packaging! OEM parts are available from various places, check out pricing at eurocarparts, design911 and Porscheshop. Most independents operate on passion and profit rather than pure profit, makes a difference. Alternatively you can buy Porsche parts and supply to the independent. I've got to know the parts team at my OPC very well and get good discounts!
Tyres are always a ringaround to get the best price, lots of threads on the forum on the subject. Don't forget the big chains, they sometimes swing good deals.
Get a full 4 wheel alignment regardless and get your bushes, springs and dampers checked. Many independents can cater for this. If the geos not that far off then incorrect tyre pressure could be the problem.
If you've got warranty and it's expiring soon I'd want them to look at the oil leak now even if you're renewing it!
The independent comes highly recommended. I've had some dealings with them when I had an IMS failure, it was only for some advice but they were very helpful. Had a chat and the brakes and discs wouldn't be OEM, he said they use a couple of different brands depending on supply and price. He mentioned that Bosch are a good source for brake components these days.
As for tyres, been down this route many times before and have a good idea on the best places to look at. The last set of rears were from ATS, on one of their Michelin promotions. The last set of fronts were from the OPC, they price matched the best quote I could get elsewhere and as the car was with them having a new engine fitted it was a simple choice.
I'll certainly get the full wheel alignment done, probably at the Indie as they're cheapest.
I've asked the OPC to check the oil leak out, initially there was the question of cost and effort until they confirmed my car has another month or so under warranty.
