Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.
Discussions that contain suggestions
1
0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Suggestion
*By law there needs to be an identifier of who made the plates there, but Hallfords use a particular font size and colour which makes it nearly impossible to see from a distance.
Leading evidence: 'Use particular font size and colour' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Use particular font size and colour' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I had my plates mate up at Halfords. Convenient (I didn't have to mess about, or wait around as I would if I ordered from the 'net), cheap, and best of all 'invisible' wording on the bottom*

Oh, and to answer your question, I went for the totally plain look, no logos, no '3D' font, just the text - I think the cleaner look is much better. Which is the reason I went to Halfords - I didn't want to pay over the odds to advertise someone elses business.
I don't mind the GB Euro logo on the plate to be honest. Particularly if you nip across the channel two or three times a year. Better than a huge stupid white GB sticker with Tesco's written on it stuck on the back.
:agree:
Sure the plate looks cleaner without the GB. However the GB doesn't look too bad (I actually quite like it) and 100 times better than a nasty GB logo when abroad.
I had mine made up on an Internet site
Any font any logo text undeneath if you want
They will even space your letters to allow for screw positions
I opted for 3D, the coloured crest on the left and a logo (again any font)
All legal.
Top job.
Opc?
they'll only fork it up!
Just got back from Porsche Hatfield with the plates, plain no logo nice bloke Richard offered to fit them for free (I said I was going to fit them because they drill the holes for you unlike Halfords etc so an easy swap but I think he took pity on me because of my advancing years) anyway a very nice gesture and great service while we waited the wife and I had Danish pastries and coffee, the bill came to £31.65 so well pleased.
Hmm, if you wanted plain then you could have paid £11 done them yourself in the pleasure of your own garage and at your convenience. :thumb:
Trouble is the price I'm getting them for I seem to be ordering sets every week for all the family :nooo:
Magnetic GB plate £4.99
Slap it on at Dover, take it off at Calais (or wherever) on the return.
Better than permanently on the plate.
My plates still carry 'Tickford' logos from my time with the FRP. I really wonder if anybody notices?
i agree with you mgeorgek, private plates look better with the OPC name along the bottom. Whats more my two kids cleaned out the dealers complimentary fridge whilst we waited! You dont get that at Halfords.
I can understand if the plates are made up by the supplying dealer do give it a degree of provenance but otherwise I would go for plain - unless I can have a retainer for advertising the dealer as I drive - thought that was the job of taxis
