For HPDE events, will I get better handling by changing the wheels/tires to be the same size front and back?

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

Hello, I’m new to this forum coming from the aviation world and know very little about tracking. For HPDE events, will I get better handling by changing the wheels/tires to be the same size front and back? I currently have OE 265/235/40/18. I’d like to 888R tires but want to know if I should get new wheels first and what size. TIA.

POST 2Original post

I’d say the new wheels part is up to you… the 888R are great tires but there noisy as hell and don’t get stuck in the rain
