I've been suffering with this for several years but now that I've installed a LWF, it's even worse since there is less momentum to get through it.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

I've been suffering with this for several years but now that I've installed a LWF, it's even worse since there is less momentum to get through it. It throws no codes (I have a Durametric and nothing shows on a scan). I've cleaned the MAF, changed the AOS, changed the plugs, run Techron through the fuel system. Nothing helps. I do have the Softronic Race Plenum/flash. I called them up before I changed AOS or cleaned MAF and they said it was probably MAF or vacuum leak. I don't know how/where to check for a vacuum leak and was really hoping changing the AOS would fix it. Does anyone have any ideas of what to check or where to check for a vacuum leak?

POST 3Original post

I'm not going to re-type this article, but it's what I'd do for my car: Here’s How To Check for Vacuum Leaks and Fix Them Also, the Race plenum eliminates one of the tuning flaps which may operate in that RPM range. So this may be a case of "that's the price of running race parts on your road car"

POST 4Original post

That is certainly possible, but I did call Softronic and he said that this isn't a problem they have. I also asked if maybe there was a bug in the tune and maybe we should redo the tune and he said he is sure it isn't the tune.

POST 6Original post

Seems better. I was missing a vacuum cap coming from the AOS. The port would have fed to the plenum but I have SRP 'which does not have that port on the plenum so you have to cap it off. Guess the cap didn't fit well and came off (a long time ago as it's been doing this for years).

POST 7Original post

Not sure what year you have (DFI or not), but my ‘10 CS had a similar hesitation; I removed the intakes and did a walnut blast on the valves (they were very caked up). Hesitation is gone now. It was not a fun job, but the result was rewarding.
