When the car was repaired after this crash, it was fitted with a Versus widebody kit (replica of the Sorcery kit), H&R lowering springs, JGTC Light Weight exhaust, Uni high flow air filter, low scoop carbon air intake, and Volk TE37 wheels 18 x 8.5 front, 19 x 10.5 rear.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

This for sale for a friend has approval from GT3 Chuck
Hi, guys.
Me again, with another ridiculous car. Selling this one for a friend, he's looking to get into something else and needs to free up some room in the garage, so he's selling his 2005 NSX. Car is an original Long Beach Blue Pearl car with Onyx Black interior and a six speed manual transmission. As all North American NSXs after 2002, it's a targa top, which removes easily and stores in a compartment above the engine. One surly chap can remove the top by himself, otherwise I'd recommend two people, so you don't drop it on your fancy sports car. It has every factory option as far as I can tell, such as Xenon HID headlights, factory blue gauges, silver interior trim, perforated leather interior, factory Bose stereo.
As stated above, the car does have a salvage title. It was involved in a rear-end collision early in its life. Exhaust sounds fantastic, not too loud for daily driving but still gives it a nice growl under throttle.
Good:
This car absolutely breaks necks everywhere you drive it. Caused quite a splash at Ice Cream Cruise the last two years.
Mechanically sound, just got a new thermostat and cooling system check/overhaul.
Sounds phenomenal.
Supercar looks with Honda reliability.
Bad:
Salvage title (obvs)
The car could use an alignment
The paint is a little tired, especially on the front bumper. There are some chips and flaws in the paint all around the car.
Asking $45k OBO. All offers will be entertained, owner needs to sell the car sooner than later. Text, email, or PM me with questions, number is [phone removed]. No trades. Thanks!
Such a beautiful car! How hard would it be getting replacement parts if the WB panels ever got damaged? Always loved NSX's and this one is just stunning! GLWS
Quote:
Valid question! I'm not sure how hard it would be. Versus, the company that made the kit, is still operational as far as I know, and located in California.

This has been a question the owner and I have been getting a lot (understandably so).
No documentation whatsoever has made its way along with the car, documenting the rebuild or anything. To give potential buyers some peace of mind, I'm taking to the car to a frame & alignment shop next week to have it inspected and see what's what. I don't foresee the car having any frame issues, but I will make sure we know for certain before the car goes to a new home.

Easily the nicest NSX I have ever seen. Interested in seeing the rebuild details when you have it.
Hey guys, quick update -
Drove the car all day Saturday. Man, what a fun car to drive. The attention you get is almost too much.
Took it to my mechanic, got the car up on the lift. He said the repairs from the rear hit all look professionally done, he didn't see any obvious problems. The repairs to the front passenger side look decent, but the seam sealant is beginning to separate, so that would need to be redone. All of the suspension is solid, and he found no mechanical issues, just the sealant beginning to separate. Driver side sealant is still from the factory, and perfect.
Right now I have an appointment with the alignment and frame shop on Thursday, but my mechanic is going to see if he can get the car in sooner. I'll keep everyone posted.

The frame shop said it's likely repairable, it will just take time and money.
Like I said, the owner just wants it gone. Best offer takes it at this point. It's too bad the previous owner wasn't as interested in disclosing the cars flaws as I have been.
That's going to make it a tough sale.
Post pics when available please. I am partly interested depending on how bad it looks. I am sure the frame shop can give you a rough estimate on time/cost and the expectations after it is done.
I wonder if you will be better off having it fixed and then selling it otherwise you might have to sacrifice quite a bit on the price.
Quote:
The guy at the frame shop (Nebraska Alignment and Frame, for those interested) told me they can't quote it because they can't fix it, and haven't fixed anything like it. He said it would be expensive because it requires pulling the car completely apart, isolating the frame, and trying to pull it, but that's all I got from him, no price. I'm guessing you'd need to weld in a new frame rail if the current one couldn't be straightened, which is obviously a considerable cost.
I've already received three offers, with two more people texting me and asking questions before making offers. The owner is taking quite a considerable hit from the original $45k asking price, but like I said, he just wants it gone at this point to make room for the next car. Any offer is being considered at this point, there is no bottom dollar. Almost like a no reserve auction, I guess.
TAILWAG, if you want, I'd be happy to email or text you the photos. They're on my phone and it'd be much easier for me to relay them that way than hosting them online to post here. PM me your contact info and I'll send them over.
Our intention was never to surprise anyone, or "dump" the car on an unsuspecting buyer.
It's unfortunate this has turned out to be what it is, but at least everyone knows going forward. The car can be repaired, it will just take time the current owner does not feel like investing.
Couple updates -
Got to see the title, it says "REBUILT", no liens or leases or anything.
The car may be sold, I've reached an agreement with a buyer who has seen the pictures of the frame and knows exactly what's going on. He claims to be sending me a purchase agreement and deposit within the next couple of days. If it falls through for whatever reason, I will keep everyone updated. Likewise, I will update my thread when the car is confirmed sold.
