Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

Hi, wonder if you can help ...I have a cayman s 987 2007 with 66,000 miles. I have only recently brought the car. The last mot a year ago has advisory for nearside and offside inner tie rod play, so I about to change them with TRW parts. I was wondering should I also at the same time change the tie rod ends. On inspection they look ok , its not the cost as new trw tie rod ends are not expensive. Just wondering if original tie rod ends would be better quality and therefore if they are ok then refit the originals. what do you think?

POST 2Original post

I'm confused, you trust the TRW for inner replacement but are questioning their quality for tie rod replacement? Why not try to get OEM for the entire job? You're going to get the labor free. It's going to need an alignment afterword for a proper job.

POST 3Original post

I’m pretty sure TRW makes the OEM rods so I would just get those. I know TRW makes OEM Porsche power steering racks for sure.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
