Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have a 99 with the sparkly plastic bits, and bought some newer, matte black bits off of eBay. Wondering how hard it is to replace (especially the center front dash piece with the air vents). Any special tools? Anything I should look out for? Much appreciated...

POST 2Original post

Everything snaps off. I use a butter knife so not to scratch anything. The lighter and wiper regulator have little locking tabs that have to be pushed away. The lighter needs a small screwdriver to release it from it's second tab.

POST 3Original post

Hey ZEEZEE do a search with my screenname and u will find a few threads discussing this. Its very easy. I did all the pieces with my dad in a few hours... HTH

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post
