I've read limited, albeit very positive, reviews of the
SACHS
uprated performance clutch and performance pressure plate on here. Anyone else try it out?
Says it lasts longer than OEM, holds more power, and is easier to modulate. Sounds like a win win. I need a clutch soon and they are having a sale (plus the 19% discount for being outside Europe helps) and the USD is killing the EURO.

They also make a sprung clutch disc for use with light weight flywheels, but I've never liked any of my cars after adding a LWFW. DMFW for me so going solid clutch disc
I have been looking at this setup on BGB Motorsports website as well. Looks like a great upgrade from the stock option, maybe John can chime in with more information.

I saw Pelican now carries it as well. The official model from
SACHS
is the "Sport Clutch" and "Sport Pressure Plate". My indy says the pressure plate has to be harder to modulate by its very nature and recommends their uprated clutch disc with stock pressure plate but that contridictes the one person I saw who purchased this... then again maybe worn out clutches/pressure plates get noticably easier to operate once they are replaced ?
Gonna wait to see what everyone recommends.
The pressure plate is built by hand and the clutch disc is inspected
Old thread, I know. I installed SPEC 1 sprung clutch in my
Cayman
with LWF. Bite point way high. Pedal effort too light. I hate it. Not sure whether to do
Sachs
sport clutch with stock pressure plate, Sport clutch with Sport pressure plate, or go all OEM DMF and clutch kit. Also, can you buy just the stock pressure plate? I only see it in a kit with the unsprung stock clutch. I really like the feel of OEM but like the performance of the LWF and need a sprung clutch disc to use it. I'm not running enough extra power to need extra clamping force. Anyone with any of these setups chime in? BTW, the LWF rattles like crazy but I think if I put heavier gear oil in transaxle, it will be tolerable because I drained 1 qt of the nearly 3 qts and replaced it with 75W 140 and it helped significantly.
No one has any experience with
Sachs
Performance clutch disc and pressure plate? I'd hate to spend about $1000 and 10 hours installing another new clutch only to hate it.
