Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

'07 Cayman 2.7 with 101k. I have pounded the sway bar bushings out of my DD Cayman and now hear a light clunk/rattle at slow speed over bumps. This front-end noise could easily be confused with the other possibilities such as tie rod ends or ball joints (been there already). You can feel the play by placing your hand on the sway bar right at the bushing while someone lifts up on the body at the fender well. My question: (I have read the Article on this but it is for bar removal and goes a little further than I plan to go) Can I take the cap off the bushing mount and slip the old bushing out and the new one in without moving the coolant lines or removing anything else? It looks very close but maybe doable. Do I have to disconnect the end of the sway bar? I would think that answer is yes just to take any load off so you can lift the bar up and out of its nest. I'm asking because you might be able to leave the sway bar connected and jack up the lower control arm to lift the bar up enough to snake out the bushing. The bushings are split so you shouldn't need much room. Thanks in advance for any help, C.

Doesn’t look like anyone answered. You do not need to remove the coolant line.https://youtu.be/2cdwrClwFLM
