Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

Anyone have the size/pitch on the front bumper tow hook?

POST 2Original post

I am looking for the same information for the rear. By my measurements it appears to be M20x2.5 (ie Coarse thread) and the threaded depth of the hole suggests a Class 8.8 bolt is expected. A stronger bolt would strip the threads before the bolt gave way. Hopefully no one ends up in a position where the force needed to recover the car comes anywhere close to approaching that limit. Blueblast, I know its almost been a year, but if your car is like mine, it came with a front tow hook. It was in the tool kit in the front luggage compartment next to the lug adapter and air compressor. Take the tow hook to your local hardware and they should be able to match it for you. I am away from my car now, but I will see if I can match mine with my tap & die set when I get back. I know I am repeating myself, but I rambled on a bit there. Can anyone confirm or correct the statement that the rear screw-in tow hook uses M20x2.5 threads? Thanks in advance.
