Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

If you are after a 2.7 981 manual, I recommend having a look at this car.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hey all, Couldn't find a thread for this so started a new one.

Had a look at this on the weekend (no relation to me).
If you are after a 2.7 981 manual, I recommend having a look at this car. Very well looked after and clean car. Wasn't for me as I am too spoiled by my 996.

I only had a short 15 minute drive, but I believe I was able to get a relatively good feel for it during that time. It handled very well, and I was really pleasantly surprised by the the steering after reading so much about how terrible electric steering is supposed to be. The exhaust definitely sounded much better than my standard non-pse 3.4 exhaust!
I feel the 996 has more drama. The suspension isn't as refined in the 996, and I love the movement/ steering from the back when you put your foot down with the 996. The 3.4 996 engine has considerably more getup and go than the 2.7, especially with the long gears. The 981 3.4 may be another story.
I am 100% sure I would do faster times, much more relaxed, at Sydney Motorsport Park in the 2.7 981 as you are able to keep your momentum through the corners. In the 996 I am hanging on for life while it is trying to eject me from the corners! Hence more drama!
Interesting perspective. I've had 5 or 6 years where we owned both, so I was able to swap and change as desired (or when my wife would let me drive "her" 981). Both exceptionally capable cars - I still prefer the bigger 911 for cruising, but the 981 is superior for the twisties for me. It is a base PDK 981 and it certainly feels as though it has more (usable) power than the 3.2 987.1S manual it replaced. As far as 981 v 996 power, obviously no comparison to the 2 x 996.1 GT3s I had, but I really didn't feel that the 981 had any power deficit to the last 996.1 manual I had. Perhaps its that I haven't necessarily been interested in pushing either to their limits too much..... Both great cars to drive and lots of fun. Nothing like cruising with the roof down in the Boxster on a nice Spring day though, when you aren't trying to go a million miles an hour.....
I went from a manual 997.1 coupe to my current 981 cayman 2.7. The lack of low-end torque is underwhelming, and the long gearing doesn’t help, especially in Victoria’s nanny state, where you unfortunately can’t rev out 2nd gear without losing your licence!
My 981 is specced exactly like the black one, apart from the fact that I don’t have PSE. I do have PASM, which I use all the time.
After owning the 997 for three years, I let it go because I wanted something newer with less upkeep. It needed a steering rebuild, front-end work, a roof repaint, etc.
I tend to turn my cars over every 2–3 years, and the next one for me will be PDK—either a 718 cayman, Cayman 981gts or a base 991.
If you want a manual Porsche,, a 981 Boxster or Cayman for $70–90k is unbelievable bang for your buck and worthwhile cross shop to a manual 996.
