If outboard valve is clogged just remove by completly unscrewing valve, then clean valve, checking for debris & re-install.

Hello, Honestly, I thought that I knew how to change brake fluid and bleed brakes having done so for the past 18 years on my track-only Caterham Super 7. I just attempted to change the brake fluid on my 08 Cayman S using the Motive Power Bleeder, which works fine on my 7, but ran into a problem. Sucked old fluid out of the master, filled with new fluid, attached Motive (dry) to the MC, pressurized to 15psi. Everything OK so far. Opened outboard bleed valve on pass. side rear caliper and----just a little brake fluid comes out and then the flow stops. Check again to make sure that I still had pressure on the MC and it was holding near 15 psi. So what is wrong? Yes I took the little filter/strainer out of the MC before I got started. No leaks, pressure good, but no flow after the initial 'squirt'. The bleed valve was open approx 1/2 turn and I should have been seeing a steady stream of fluid. Any ideas as to what I may have done wrong or what I am missing? Thanks in advance for any help. Bart

Sounds like you did everything right. Try turning valve an extra turn & see if you have any luck. If not try bleeding inner valve & see result. Not very common, but you may have clogged valve. If outboard valve is clogged just remove by completly unscrewing valve, then clean valve, checking for debris & re-install. Just don't force bleeder when re-installing.
