Is this a true Porsche part? Where are the holes for the license plate and the pop up area for the tow hook? <a href="http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&category=33640&item=2415346869" target="_blank">http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&category=33640&item=2415346869</a>

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
11 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Your points are very valid. Here is the real thing on my car... <img src="http://web.dsldesigns.com/~ljcook/radiator/images/29.jpg" alt=" - " />
I'm with Loren, I've got an '01 996 (generously tweaked). It's a bogus part. Always beware of jokers selling "Boxter" parts.

I've had several transactions with him and he is definitely a straight shooter. He can get parts that others can't as he has relations with Porsche Motorsports. If he says it's a genuine Porsche part, I would believe it is. It may be a different part number than what's on other people's cars and may look different, but I would not doubt that it is what he claims it to be.
Well I have written him to see what he says about the missing license plate holes and tow hook area. That just seems really strange to me. However, he has good feedback on Ebay. Maybe there is a good explanation. We shall see.
Redhatcab, I'm still not buying it. (Drop me a line independently if you like and I'll explain how I know PMNA). Mr. Coker may have "relations" with PMNA, but I seriously doubt that he has a relationship. From the single photo it looks as if he's making parts out in a barn somewhere. It is incredibly difficult to forge a relationship with PMNA and they do not offer street parts - rather, performance parts. Can you imagine what Herr Springer or even Phoebe Palazzo (parts) would do to someone who was getting parts from them and peddling them on EBay???!!!! Give me a break.

No one claimed this bumper is from Porsche Motorsports or that Mr. Coker is selling PM parts on Ebay. There you go making assumptions again.
He spelled "Boxster" incorrectly. That should tell you something
Kyopo, Why don't you bother to read your own posting! You, not I, pointed out that Mr. Coker has "relations" with Porsche Motorsports. This is how he has access to parts no one else can get, RIGHT? You, not I, said the part is genuine. Lastly the part IS being offered on EBay, that's the whole point of this thread. Stop the madness.

I made no claims that this part is from Porsche Motorsports. I know nothing about this part. I was just vouching for the seller as I've dealt with him before and so have others here in LA. <strong> </font><blockquote><font size="1" face="Verdana,Tahoma,Helvetica">quote:</font><hr /><font size="2" face="Verdana,Tahoma,Helvetica"> Stop the madness.</strong></font><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana,Tahoma,Helvetica">Again, I agree so let's try to stay on topic and keep *facts* in this thread not assumptions.
Well I wrote and I asked him if that was a photo of the actual part and if it was why there were no holes for the license plate and pop off for the tow hook. If it is an actual Porsche part you should be able to see those. All I got back was, "That is a foto of the actual part" Think I will stay away from it!
