Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
34 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.
2 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.
I've just been given a build slot for a new Porsche I ordered some months ago (my first new car order ever I think!). I've seen some of the Americans on Rennlist saying that they get regular updates/pics of build/status of build etc through an app (MyPorsche App) - they're able to track the build and delivery etc.
Is this something we can do here in the UK? How does it work?
Or do I need to continuously beg the moronic saleswoman for updates every week?
Create an account on My Porsche and the salesperson will be able to link your order to that. You’ll then get updates when the car passes through the 5 stages.
Once you’re at Stage 4 (Built) you get a few pics of your actual car appear.

Got it. Thank you.
I've got the MyPorsche app already for a separate car.
At what point does stage 1 kick off? Apparently my car is being built over Dec/Jan (strange, I know), should I have a link by now?
Stage 1 is "Thank You For Your Order" which means it is scheduled for production, so that would appear fairly quickly assuming the allocation is available.
The MyPorsche app isn't very accurate.
My car currently shows as Stage 3 - scheduled for production, but my OPC insists that the order is not yet confirmed for production. I am expecting the car to be built in Jan/Feb.
It sounds like you should have an update on your app by now. Have you tried to login onto your MyPorsche on the internet, rather than just through the phone app?
Thank you all.
No link received yet, although dealer has sent me schedule of production. Enters production 20th Jan and finished on 27th Jan, arriving in UK on 2nd of Feb!

Logged in on PC yes. Bit no additional info that i can see......
Just giving this a bump as dealer informs, the car is now built and sitting at factory compound - V311 Status I think. What's strange is that I've received nothing by way of notifications from MyPorsche App/Emails/Pictures of the car - I thought we got that.
It's not a 911 nor Taycan by the way.
Also, what's likely time to dealer from this point? Leipzeig to London?
There is sometimes a way of seeing the photos even if they aren’t showing in the my porsche app. I’m pretty sure there is a how to guide on rennlist but I can’t find it so I’ll try to explain briefly below…
1) Open google chrome, go to porsche website, log in and click overview (You should see an digital image of the car and stage X of 5)
2) Right click on the car picture and click inspect
3) Click the network tab
4) refresh your web browser (F5)
5) Scroll down and click on “Orders?include-full-content=false”
6) Click Preview and then open up the subheading where it says “0: {orderId:……”
7) You should then be able to open another sub heading “production images” which hopefully if you have production images will show URL addresses which you can then paste into your web browser.
Give me a shout if you need a hand…

Mate - it's not even showing up on your very first point 1).
No digital image nor indication of stage of build...
MP app is pants. I've been on scheduled for production for ages, just got off the phone to OPC who has said it's in the paint shop and still on for 1st March collection.
I think in some countries, US being one, they get a separate app called 'Track My Dream' or similar which is a lot more in depth.
In short, just speak to whoever sold you the car as it seems they have access to a better tracking system.

Wow this actually worked! Every time I chased the dealer they said they do not have any production pictures. I have now found 3 production pictures. Looks like I am on Pirelli's instead of michelin's though.

Great to hear it worked for you. I had a call off my OPC yesterday saying the car is at Emden. Unfortunately still no pictures for me as it states the car is currently scheduled for production. Hopefully some will appear on there soon.

Did the OPC tell you when they expect the car to land with them?

No, but generally I believe from the moment it leaves the factory it’s around 4 weeks. When I get an update I’ll repost to give an indication of current lead times.

Mine has been at Emden for about a week. Hopefully getting a boat today/tomorrow.

I managed to find these using RacerRyans search instructions. Last update was that it is at Emden and I am now finally expecting it to arrive at the OPC mid Feb, but not collecting till 1st March so it will be a 23reg. Car build was completed on 16th September!

What in God's name have they been doing since completing the car on the 16th September?! That's ridiculous.
When did it flick over into reaching Emden?
Anyway, Congratulations. Looks like the wait is coming to an end!

No idea what the delay was. My OPC and Porsche GB could not get any answers from Germany. My car was stuck in the compound at Kornwestheim for 4 months and now finally on its way to Emden last week. I was at the stage of walking away and asking for my deposit back. A friend's new GTS, similar spec to mine, was built 4 weeks after mine and he picked the car up from his OPC end of November.
That is a long old wait but hey on the plus side the car looks absolutely fantastic and at least you know it is en route! I’m sure it’s worth the wait.

Unbelievable!
Well, as others have said, do enjoy now it's finally on it's way!

Thanks for this. Just tried this. Got as far as Step 5, but couldn't see "Orders?include-full-content=false" in the long list of rows. I assume that's where it will be at some point, or am I looking in the wrong place? Thanks.
My car's at the V300 stage, so complete so hopefully something will show up soon.

If you are on the network tab and refresh the web page the “order include full content false” should appear. It’s usually towards the bottom of the list.

Thanks RR. It's not there when I do it. Have checked row by row. Will give it another go in a few days time. Know there are some pics as they sent me mid build photos via the app, and then the car completely disappeared from the app. Have now reconnected it via my OPC so I can see it. Hopefully at some point I'll be able to see the completed profile version so I can see what tyres it's on.
Thanks again for the help.

I had the same issue to begin with you. Select it and then select preview making sure you click on any of the small triangles to open the drop down information below. Then under 'Production images you will find the URL links.

Thanks. Gave it a go, but still no joy. Am 99% sure that I'm getting the process right.
Interestingly the two usual 'in production' pics have reappeared on My Porsche so am guessing that the side profile pic of the completed car must be coming relatively soon.

Nice, is that Arctic Grey?
I ordered a new 911 in July 2021. Have waited patiently and was delighted to be told manufacture was completed on 12 Jan this year. However car is still in Emden according to OPC. Does anyone know what it takes so long to get cars out of Emden? I would have thought Porsche GB would try to speed things up as until I get the car they won't be getting paid.
It might be awaiting some missing parts that can be fitted post production, I had this with a Macan back in 2016. Your dealer may not be aware of this but it may be worth asking them in case they do.
