Otherwise, you would have to replace the amp and likely the speakers if you do have Bose since those speakers run a different impedance.

My friend got problems installing an aftermarket headunit on his 2003 996, because the amp is MOST, while the aftermarket HU was "not most". Is it like this on the 987 aswell, do i need a MOST adapter og replace the amplifier? I have 987.1 with Sound Package Plus.

Is Sound Package Plus same as the Bose package? I have Bose and had to use the MOST adapter since I was reusing all of the amps and speakers with my Pioneer head unit. Otherwise, you would have to replace the amp and likely the speakers if you do have Bose since those speakers run a different impedance.

I can confirm that sound package plus does not use the MOST cables from the AMP to the speakers, and to the unit.. There are some MOST cables behind there, but i think that was set up for a cd changer
