Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I am actively looking to buy a Macan. I am very surprised on how hard it is to find Macans with adaptive cruise control considering that they are a family car and it's standard on pretty much every other marque. I will keep looking but its increasingly looking like I will end up with something else. Anyone else find this strange? If you bought a Macan and did not option 'Porsche Active Safe' or 'Adaptive Cruise Control' why? If you have a Macan with Active Safe for sale in NSW (preferably turbo, non-black) PM me.

POST 2Original post

I've noticed the same and have looked into the feasibility of retrofitting it. There are some US forum posts claiming to have done it but there isn't a lot of info available. e.g. there are parts available at https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005003040399787.html , in theory you'd fit these and then code the car using PIWIS to enable the feature. That said i will keep watching carsales.. quick indication if there is no photo of the cruise control stalk is the front grill, ones with ACC have a space in them in the center for the radar.

POST 3Original post

What does the stalk look like on the Macan's with active cruise control ? Does it have the additional "distance" toggle on its front face?

yes.  that and the radar "eye" at the front in the centre of the grille on the bumper are how to quickly confirm that a car has it.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
