Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Hey guys, my father and I are looking at a 2002 black/black C4S, maybe purchasing on Monday.
Price is $78,500. Has 2500 miles on it.
6spd, Bose, Full Supple, pretty much loaded, except for navi.
Is this a decent price, or should we expect to get this car for much lower, around 70,000?
TIA,
MD
wow! I think that is a pretty good price considering the mileage. However, try to get a few k less. Brand new goes for 81k and some change plus all ur tax and tags. The leather is standard from what I know. so is 6 speed. Bose is not much $$. what other options does the car have?
Is this from a dealer or privte?
good luck and great choice. blk/blk c4s with red calipers rule...

If its 81,800 new, then 78,500 seems a little high for a soon to be two year old car. I'll find out what options it has specifically. Hopefully it has Litronic.
I would contact Kirk Schwartz, the Porsche sales manager, at Maplewood Imports in St. Paul, MN. He has a brand new Guards Red 2003 C4S in stock that you might be able to buy for just a little more than you're talking about for the used 2002. I have bought several Porsches from Maplewood and my experience is that their prices are always extremely competitive and their level of professionalism is first rate. For a second opinion, check out the 996 Board (http://www.funcarsonline.com/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=996&Number=56377&page=1&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=7& fpart=1)where a post from the last few days indicated that a person from Texas bought a car from Maplewoood Imports because it was such a good deal.
I have no financial (or any other) interest in Maplewood Imports, just a satisfied customer.
Good luck,
John
Thanks for the advice John, my father usually deals with maplewood; in fact he still refers to it as Metro Porsche, which is what it used to be called. Just haven't made it out there yet, since its about 45 min further drive.
