Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1Original post

Ok so my battery died, I think i left my lights on. Jumped it to get the frunk open from inside, charged it for a few hours and got this loud elec motor sound from around the front trunk release area. Nothing I can do makes it stop beside disconnecting the battery. Im 2 hours from a dealer. Any ideas? Thx Rob

POST 2Original post

Is this the same as what Dobbler posted not too long ago? If so, no diagnosis quite yet, but not much else up there that could make a continuous motor sound. http://www.planet-9.com/987-cayman-...cayman-boxster-problems-complaints/105550-buzzing-sound-frunk-system-fault.html

POST 5Original post

Yeah, I just replied to your PM -- I need to update my post. My mechanic found dozens of fault codes, had to clear them twice, but eventually got the front control unit to behave again. I didn't need parts but it was a couple hours of trial-and-error labor with the Durametric/ignition on-off/battery disconnect.
