Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

I've installed a Gateway 500, with a PCM 2.1 Monitor. I can only get the system working using the ipod user interface and hence I can't see any Album, song Information on the monitor only track numbers. How do I toggle it so that the system uses the Ipod Gateway Interface and therefore presumably the track info will be visable on screen? Thanks

POST 2Original post

Select Disc 6, and on the track named ">Source" press and hold Seek FW for some seconds. Then select the track "iPod GW" and press Seek FW on it.

POST 3Original post

When I select Disc 6, which is listed as the Menu in the CD list it reverts back to disc 5 while loading, without listing anything. So I'm unable to select "source" and I'm stuck in 'ipodUI'

POST 4Original post

Did you set the dip switches correctly for a PCM Porsche system?

POST 5Original post

checked the switches, they are ok. Still can't get into the menu on CD6, just diverts back to CD5 on loading.

POST 6Original post

I have this same problem, any ideas? BTW I am using firmware 2.11 and the DIPs are set correctly (all down apart from 2 and 3) Thanks EDIT: I figured it out. I need to hold FF after making the track selection on CD6 Now Ipod GW works great. I will leave the Ipod in the trunk most of the time. When I turn off the car will teh GW500 turn off the ipod and keep it charged? Thanks
