Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

A few weeks ago I posted the success I'd had with using the Sirius portable stiletto in my '07 S and was asked to include a few pix. Finally got off my duff & shot a few photos. One is the total installation in the car -- please note it uses basically no space (as reported both by my very short wife & tall buddy who've spent a good deal of time riding shotgun). I've included a shot of the antenna sitting behind the windshield, which for some reason seems to perform better than under the plastic over the wiper motors and a shot of the radio itself removed from the in-car mount. It's about the size of a 100mm cigarette package. Now, we'd get to perfection if there were some way to hardwire the thing into the car to avoid using the fm modulator. When I'm planning on working late, I typically take the radio up to my office where it plays hardwired through computer speakers -- sound is excellent.

POST 2Original post

Research these two parts: NAV-TV SIRPOR-2 and the Sirius SC-V1. The SC-V1 will turn your stilletto into a dedicated tuner that can be controlled by your factory PCM head unit (if you have one). The SIR-POR2 will interface the SC-V1 and translate it's data and audio to work with the Porsche head unit.

POST 3Original post

Dahotshoe, have you tried the reception with this antenna location away from an urban area.....i.e., no local repeaters?

POST 4Original post

It seems to work pretty much everywhere I drive the car. Fortunately (maybe not so fortunately for this purpose), I have an adult car to drive when I'm off in "God's country" where there are no FM stations.
