Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Discussions that suspect a cause
1

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.

0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.

Suspected cause

He says it is showing a production completion date of May 17 but that's a Saturday, so I suspect he means May 19.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Karl, Have you heard anything else from your dealer about the GT3 hold up? Mine was supposed to be a April 25 completion and I still have no VIN number. Just curious about what you found out.

POST 2Original post

My sales guy was on vacation last week. I called him this morning and he is going to call me back. I'll post when I hear from him. Karl

POST 3Original post

Finally heard back from my sales guy. He says the car is still showing in the Paint Shop status which is the last step in Production. It's been there for a month, so he figures it is built and for some reason PAG has not or can not assign a VIN yet. He says it is showing a production completion date of May 17 but that's a Saturday, so I suspect he means May 19. In any event, I guess it will be next week before I know any more. He could not find out anything about why it is being held. Supposedly Champion had a new GT3 for display at a FL region PCA event last weekend. I don't know how they got it. Maybe it's the car that was at the NY Auto Show. Karl

Karl the Paint shop is only the second stage of ten process. Your car has barely been started. go to this link. http://www2.uk.porsche.com/english/gbr/company/zuffenhausen/sequence/default.htm the paint shop is the second part of the 10 stage process the car goes thru before it is built. But it should only take a day to make.
