This would mean I would just use my closest Porsche dealer or a specialist mechanic as I have done in the past to do the oil service (+ coolant and brake fluid changes) and to do a general check up of the car (+ any additional maintenance required).

I am not too mechanically minded in general, however, I figured that thanks to my 2016 Cayenne S Diesel having air-ride suspension for accessibility and the power of YouTube to guide me in this area of deficiency, it probably wouldn't be such a bad a thing for me to learn how to learn how to change some of the fluids that have extended intervals in the book, more frequently.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hello members, I am not too mechanically minded in general, however, I figured that thanks to my 2016 Cayenne S Diesel having air-ride suspension for accessibility and the power of YouTube to guide me in this area of deficiency, it probably wouldn't be such a bad a thing for me to learn how to learn how to change some of the fluids that have extended intervals in the book, more frequently. Especially as it nears 420,000km. I'm thinking front and rear differential fluids, transfer case and potentially gearbox oil in particular. I'm inviting the challenge! This would mean I would just use my closest Porsche dealer or a specialist mechanic as I have done in the past to do the oil service (+ coolant and brake fluid changes) and to do a general check up of the car (+ any additional maintenance required). I'm wondering if anyone knows of the part numbers/trusted alternatives for the following: - Front differential fluid & Rear differential fluid (I do not have torque vectoring option on mine and thus believe they are the same fluid?) - Transfer case oil - Transmission gearbox oil As well as recommendations of any trusted and local suppliers in Melbourne. I'm well aware the dealer probably supplies these fluids at 3x the cost of any other supplier and therefore would prefer to support a local supplier first. Appreciate any input.

POST 2Original post

I bought Ravenol Transfer Case fuild for my older Cayenne from Imparts (they have an office in Melbourne) they should be able to supply everything else too
