Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

10 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi, My 2004 CS4 has been parked up for a few months with the battery disconnected.. I reconnected the battery and started the car with jump leads... everything seemed ok until I noticed that no sounds was coming from the PCM ?? screen/ sat nav works fine just no sound? any advice please guys?? Thanks Zahid

POST 2Original post

Is the Stereo/Radio working ??? Or those are not working either ? Have you put a route and it did not give you voice instructions ? Theo

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

no sound at all... sat nav works but obviously no sound for direction... :?:

POST 4Original post

but does the radio/CD work at all? It's all linked via the MOST fibre optic system...

POST 6Original post

Ok... Do you have the phone module, amp or CD changer and did the display tell you any devices were unavailable? In order for MOST to work they all have to be active. If you've only tried it once it's worth checking again as the MOST resets after a 10 minute sleep ie car locked with no activity. This would be a result Otherwise I reckon you may have overloaded one of the modules when you jumped the car and may need to change a fuse or worse one of the modules OPC, some independents and car Hi Fi places will be able to help. Where are you in the country? Just for future reference, turning the headlights on before connecting the jump leads can help smooth the spike. Hope this helps...

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

yeah.. it says..phone.. amp... cd changer where unavailable? spoke to millbrooke(sheffield) and was told it may need resetting/rebot..

POST 8Original post

Modules are in that order in the circuit so I reckon the phone module is the culprit. If a reset doesn't work and you don't use it you can bypass it. You can also try http://www.sportsandclassic.com in Knutsford if that's not too far away from you Good luck with it :thumb:

POST 9Original post

I think you can re-boot it yourself by pressing 1-4-8 simultaneously. (Or is it 1-4-7 ?)

POST 10Original post

Didn't know that! Is there something similar for CDR23? Mine freezes on the Porsche text 1 in a while and it's a right pain to stop and wait for 10 minutes. Edited...to avoid looking dumb
