Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

Has anyone tried these with a factory sport exhaust? https://flat6motorsports.com/collec.../collections/987-exhaust/products/magnaflow-catted-headers-987-1-cayman-boxster Thanks!

POST 2Original post

I used to sell a lot of Magnaflow direct fit catalytic converters at another company. The Magnaflow direct fit catalytic converters are more tailored towards meeting emissions than performance. They're a cost effective means to replace a set of failing OEM headers. I would expect the sound to be similar to stock given the similar cell count and internal matrix design. -Mike

POST 3Original post

Thanks, so I would not expect much of a performance upgrade since the cats are probably not high flow, and the tube design does not look optimized.

POST 4Original post

I can't say for sure as we have no dyno results to discuss but they have always been marketed as direct fit emissions related solutions. I sold a good deal across several marquees to people attempting to pass emissions. If you're primarily looking to refresh your OEM exhaust and stay as close to stock as possible, that's a good deal. -Mike
