Suggestion · Original poster

They "highly" recommend memory seats, but I think I would prefer non-power seats, because of the superior driving position.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I just tried a couple of cars at the dealer, and unpowered seats (i.e. Stock C2 or sports seats) definitely seemed to have more headroom than the power seats (as per option or C4). The dealer said the specs are the same. Is this my imagination? I am 6'2" find the unpowered driving position superior. I also would have preferred for the steering wheel to be a little higher (or at least tilt up). However, I live in NY and I am sure the seats will be moved every time the car is parked!

POST 2Original post

That's not the only thing that will be "moved" every time your car gets parked. Check your mileage!

POST 3Original post

Winovin, I agree with you on the seats. The mechanical sport seats do have greater movement because of the lack of "stuff" under the seat. I don't know about the mechanical standard seats tho. You let OTHER people park your car??? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="eek.gif" />

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Well, no car yet... that's why I'm shopping! Here in NYC most car parks are valet (at least the indoor ones), so I'm reflecting the experience of my friends. They "highly" recommend memory seats, but I think I would prefer non-power seats, because of the superior driving position. In fact, it is not so much headroom, as actually clearance under the steering wheel - I think it is a glaring oversight that the steering wheel does not have a height adjustment.
