Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

Wondering if anyone has any dyno results from gutting their cats on their 3.4 987? In the FA20 GT86 world, it was an impressive gain, sans a tune. Wondering if its the same for our platform? Cheers

POST 2Original post

I have removed my cats via headers and a Borla exhaust and am very pleased with the results. I do, however, have a number of other upgrades as well. I will be getting the car re-dyno’d soon and will post the results. I do think you will need to get a custom tune as well to get best results and no CEL light. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

POST 3Original post

I have a 2008 Cayman S . I cut open and removed the 2nd set of cats from the OEM exhaust. I really can't tell it was done. It is not noticeably louder. If there is any change in performance, it is not enough to notice. I still am glad I did it, even I'm the only one who would know it was done.
