Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

10 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

I think the 12,000 is somewhere around the 300 mark and that can go up to 650 for a 24K and 48k service!!! better start saving!

POST 3Original post

Just had my 24000 serice today (actually only doen 17000, but due timewise.) ..it was a major service.. total cost was £560. not bad considering my passat had a minor service last week and that cost 230!!! needed new front pads so that cost an extra 280, but overall I have been very happy with the dealer I have been using (Colchester BTW), and Ive treid a few. 996 , 2000 W C2 Arctic silver.

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Was the £560 including the £280 for pads? or extra to the £560 steve

POST 6Original post

no pads were on top I expectee them all round but dealer said I only needed fronts (..Colchester hoonesty again!)

POST 7Original post

isnt that a bit steep for changing just the brake pads?!?!??!!?!? or is it me?

POST 8Original post

Raks...that is why the Porsche dealers are so nice to customers. I agree it does seem a little steep as it shouldn't take longer than 1/2 an hour at most, even if you have trouble getting the new ones out of their packaging.

POST 9Original post

Front pads £75 + VAT, discs £92 each. Asuming that you also had discs, the price is reasonable. If you didn't, I hope the coffee and receptionist were worth it!

POST 10 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi Need to have the 24k service very soon. How much has anyone paid for this service? Just so I can cry now and not in front of the service manager when they present the bill. Have lots of other things to do on the car, but all will be done at their cost. Steve
