Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I've just renewed my 993TT for £1002 at Cheam Insurance - full NCB and no points.

Has anyone found any decent/recommended insurance companies for Porsches other than privelege?

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
20 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

I went with Performance Marque as they include free cover for Porsche Club Track-days. They also give you a discount equivalent to the cost of Porsche Club membership if you are a Porsche Club member.
So I'd suggest joining the club, checking out the yellow pages at the back, and calling 'em if you need Track Day cover. Privelige have stopped doing it - and so, it seems, have many others.
If you don't need track cover have you tried the supermarkets? Mate of mine saved £200 with Sainsbury's on his Impreza..
I'm a young-ish driver in a 993 C4S and Privilege were far and away the best for me. More than half the companies i called refused to insure me on my car because i am under 30!
VS
AON. Via the RMA. With track day cover at 25 quid a pop.
My 996 c2 is costing me £1139 again this year.
Im 33 and have 3 points on my licence.
You need to show you have had track day experience.
Been with AON, previously Bain Hogg, since '94. Have always shopped around and they have always matched other companies quotes for the fleet.
And Royal & Sun Alliance, who they broker for, are one of the few companies still covering ANY track days.

Thanks for the replies.
Noone i tried could beat privelege, so i've renewed with them.
1398 pounds for 996c4 cab. i'm 28 with 5y protected ncb, and 3 points.
highest quote was 4600
I''m with direct line.
However, I'd reccommend you try
www.confused.com.
fill out your details, and they'll e-mail a list of quotes from different people to you. Far easier and a good base point.
Geri.
Also try barclaycard insurance. Cost me less to insure my 99/T 996 convertible than it did to insure my 1994 M3 convertible. Thats despite one claim after my policy was last up for renewal.
They also run a deal called "bungee", whereby they will beat any renewal quote.
Paying less than £1k.

DQ,
I booked it this morning in fact - try a google search for 'Footman James Insurance' - Web address came up top. Got the 968CS (on very limited miles of course)for £421. Superb
A few of us commute by train, relegating cars to second usage. Scottster also gets his motoring thrills driving Mrs Scottster's Ford Fiesta 1.1
I am a big fan of the second car concept. I like the fact you can park a crappy second car anywhere without worry about theft or damage, and which couls also do 40mpg on motorway journeys. I'm sure a good 1-2k car would pay for itself many times over in keeping main car costs down (depreciation through mileage, fuel consumption, less wear items etc.)
Look Domster - It's a 1,197cc baby actually and pleasure is all relative!! I assure you the self satisfaction and excitement of getting that mother up to 95 on the motorway is every bit as exciting (and scarey) as doing 200mph in an F1 car!!
Who said anything about 'only' doing that many miles - I was merely refering to how many miles the car would 'show' for the year...... ooops, did I say that officer? Only joking.
On a serious note I agree totally with Domster, we're ok as we train to central London and the cars are weekend play things - I happen to pefer that as there was nothing enjoyable about being stuck in long traffic jams or doing 10 mph for two hours a day in my 993 whilst commuting.
Has anyone found any decent/recommended insurance companies for Porsches other than privelege?
Tried a couple of others (esure and a broker) and noone can get near my renewal quote with privelege so far.
TIA
Dean
