You could check wwith some of the buyers to see how they worked out, as the price is about half of Ruf's and they dealt with each buyer individually.

Remember RUF isn't Wal-Mart, they build a lot of special and custom stuff, they don't have hundreds of sets of pedals just waiting around to be sold and they don't have staff dedicated to filling mail orders so while they've agreed to do the group buy in this instance, it isn't the norm for them and you'll need to take ownership (or someone will) of the process for it to be completed successfully.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I just contacted Mark Plummer from Ruf and he's willing to allow a group buy for the Authentic Ruf pedals. The retail for the 3 piece pedals are $250-$269. The dead pedal is $189 for a total of $439. So far, he has come up with a price of $225+shipping for the 3 pedal set. I emailed him back with a price for the set including the dead pedal. There was a group buy on another forum for $375+ shipping.. so it's a ballpark figure for the 4 piece set until he replies..
If you're interested please post a reply with your name on it. We need at least 10 people for this group buy.
Pics attached are from a 996 and are pretty similiar

Greetings,
We have discussed this option, and agreed on the following circumstances. We are not technically setup to do group buys as such, but will make an exception for the 3 piece pedal sets for $225 + shipping and handling, if there are 10-15 orders. Also, for this to work, we will need one check or credit card payment, and we will ship all the pedal sets to an individual for distribution to the others in the group buy. Please contact me if you have any further questions, or would like to get the order processed. Thanks!

Those look like very nice pedals. The dead pedal appears to have rubber grip inserts - do the other 3 also have them?
I'm more curious than anything else, as I already have Rennline pedals and am very satisfied with them.
this is a great deal.
carnewal
are selling the same pedals without the ruf brand for 270 usd! and this used to be a bargain
please count me in for a set
Distribution
I'm interested, but I do have a few questions about the distribution aspect:
Which individual would be the distributor?
How much would the handling, shipping, etc., charges amount to?
How would the distributor receive payment (PayPal, check, card, etc.)?
What would be the procedure for handling a buyer-distributor dispute?
The key issue is RUFs unwillingness to ship direct and accept payments directly. They want to save the interchange rate and ultimately be able to refuse a return since you will have no protection from the credit card co.
Also, do I understand that these pedals screw onto the existing ones? That doesn't seems like a good thing. If you were removing the old ones and installing new lighter ones, you could say they are lighter plus a better shape for -- well, whatever. My stock pedals work fine. R6tanz, I hope you get your numbers if you want them; maybe I don't understand how the product works and some one will shed some light as to the install and benefit.
i'm going to contact him and see if we could all send payments individually. i can't check my email or send emails until i get home from work.(emails are blocked here) if someone can email him and post his response, it'll be very helpful. thanks
Before jumping into this group buy, you might want to note that there have been several group buys of pedals from Ultimate. You could check wwith some of the buyers to see how they worked out, as the price is about half of Ruf's and they dealt with each buyer individually. I got one of their units and have found it quite satisfactory. They are also a sponsor.

I really like the pedal covers, my previous favorites were the rennlines but these are a little more stylish, and the clutch and brake pedals are a bit bigger. However, the price 215+ shipping just doesn't appeal to me, I'd expect the group buy to be somewhere around $200 shipped for the three pedal set... The rennlines without a group buy are less than that. - SS
r6tanz, can you please find out from RUF how much a pedal set (including dead pedal) for tiptronic CS would cost in this group buy? I'm interested and I will jump in if the price is reasonable. Thanks.
these are authentic ruf pedals and of course they are going to cost more than ultimatepedals... people have different taste and or willing to pay alittle more for it
btw.. i'm still waiting for response from mark... i'll update as soon as i find out.
kimchang, tiptronics should be available, but i'm still waiting for a definate answer from mark. here's a pic that should be similiar to the tips for the

Greetings,
This is Mark Plummer from RUF Auto Centre. The status on this group buy is currently pending. We are not technically setup to accomadate such orders, but will still make an exception this time for this messageboard. We are only able to do this on the 3-piece pedal set under the following circumstances which I explained to r6tanz originally:
- We receive 10+ orders for the 3 piece pedal sets
- We receive 1 check/credit card payment for the total amount of pedal sets ordered
- We ship all of the ordered pedal sets to the orignator of this thread (r6tanz), and then he has the responsibility to distribute them to the participating parties.
Ruf Pedals
I am sincerely interested in the pedals and would hope we can secure the 10 buyers necessary. Please keep the thread informed.
...glassray...
r6tanz,
I would second the statement about PayPal. You can get set up with an account there almost instantly then you can accept check or credit card payments from people then simply pay RUF with the proceeds. I would caution that you will have fees for each transaction so you'll want to pass those on to the buyers when you have them pay you.
I'm sure those who are signing up to get the pedals will lend you a hand in some way if it means they can get the pedals vs. not get them.
