Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hello everyone,
I am a Porsche Taycan 4S owner in Turkey. I would like to share our experience and hear from owners who have been through something similar.
In May 2024, our family bought a brand-new Taycan 4S from Doğuş Oto Maslak. Owning a Porsche had been a dream of mine since childhood. After thirty years of hard work, collecting the keys was a very special moment for our family.
Today, the same car brings to mind service correspondence, an expert report, an ongoing court case and a wait with no clear end.
The problems began before delivery. When the handover was delayed, we sent a formal notice through a notary on 17 May 2024. The car was delivered on 19 May.
On the dealership's recommendation, we also paid for a protective film application. Over time, the film developed yellowing, fading, lifting and deformation. Subsequent inspections revealed much more serious findings concerning the car itself.
A court-appointed expert's report dated 23 January 2025 recorded signs that the bonnet mounting hardware had been removed and refitted, paint touch-ups, corrosion on some fasteners and evidence of work around the right front guard mounting area. The report identified latent defects in the vehicle.
Learning these things about a car you bought brand-new deeply shakes your confidence.
The court of first instance ordered the vehicle to be replaced with an equivalent vehicle free from defects. The other party appealed, so the proceedings are ongoing and the ruling is not yet final. Our replacement request and this court case predate the battery failure described below.
On 7 August 2026, we experienced a second major problem.
The Taycan was charging in our home's enclosed garage when electrical system warnings began appearing. Repeated warnings telling me to leave the vehicle followed, and the car became unresponsive.
I was able to open the driver's door mechanically, but we could not get the car out of the garage. No fire occurred. Even so, I cannot forget the anxiety of being in that situation inside our home's garage.
Service assistance was needed to remove the vehicle. After an external 12-volt power supply was connected, the car could be moved and loaded onto a recovery truck.
The car was admitted to Porsche Center Mersin on 8 August 2026. In a written communication dated 20 August, the service centre stated that a high-voltage battery module temperature sensor fault had been identified and that, following technical guidance from Porsche AG, modules 1 and 2 would be replaced under warranty. The car was subsequently sent to Bursa for repair.
As of 16 October 2026, our car was still at the service centre. We had received explanations about parts coming from Germany and customs procedures, but no confirmed date for completion of the repair or the return of our car.
A Macan was provided for temporary use on 29 August. I later returned it voluntarily. I am grateful for that temporary vehicle support. We are still waiting for the problems with our own car to be resolved.
Throughout this process, I have written to Porsche in Germany repeatedly. Being told at the outset that the matter would be looked into gave me hope. Later submissions also received acknowledgements and referrals. We are still waiting for someone to take responsibility for our case, consider the full history from delivery onwards and bring it to a concrete resolution.
There have been nights when my wife and I cried together. There are times when I cannot sleep, wondering whether the next day will finally bring some news. The happiness we hoped to enjoy as a family after years of work has become a source of worry that we discuss constantly at home.
Our request is clear: the expert's findings concerning the car we bought brand-new, the first-instance replacement ruling and the subsequent battery failure should be considered together. We want our request for a factory-new, defect-free replacement with the same specification to be met. We also want a named person responsible for our case and a concrete written plan and timeline for resolving it.
We would also like clear information about the work to be carried out during the current battery repair and the checks that will be performed before the car is handed back.
The expert report, court ruling and service correspondence are available. If needed, I can share the relevant sections with personal information redacted.
Have any Taycan owners in Australia experienced a similar battery module repair? How did the parts supply and repair process unfold? I would also appreciate hearing from owners who contacted Porsche AG directly and succeeded in getting their case resolved.
If our problem is resolved, I will share that outcome here just as openly.
