Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

08 Boxster: Windows won't roll down/can't put top up = "system fault visit workshop" Car: 2008 Boxster 5MT Was putting up top today while driving and once top went up the dash flashed: "system fault visit workshop" along with a lightening bolt image Symptoms: power windows will not go up and down, error message on dash. Consequently I put the top down (trying to figure out whats wrong) and now I can't put it back up b/c the windows won't drop that 1/2" This car is brand new (3 months), really disappointed that this happened on a Friday so its out of commission for the weekend at least. Any thoughts? This had better be covered under warranty....

POST 2Original post

Re: 08 Boxster: Windows won't roll down/can't put top up = "system fault visit worksh I had some similar symptoms recently when my battery went dead due to leaving key in ignition overnight. Lots of weird things happen when the battery gets weak. Just a thought.
