Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I've just fitted the tequipment ones to mine, and I think that they are alloy.

The car originally had metal but the tyre fitters replaced the valves with rubber items

Thanks, I'm going to have the wheels refurbished soon and will replace the rubber ones currently fitted.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi, the valve on my rear drivers side needs fixing/replacing - superlaga III
Anyone have an idea how much i should be lookin at to sort out?
I been told by tyre shop - the Porsche Valve steel covers have caused this - somethin to do with the reaction when on in bad weather? :dont know: anyone heard of this?
Anyone know a decent place - Im near Slough?
I would go to Pro-Tyre in Ipswich Road on Slough Trading Estate.
I'm not sure what Superlaga IIIs are, but if it is the Porsche metal stem valves for hollow-spoke alloys you need, I have a couple of spare ones.
I have a set of Wolfrace alloy flush fit valves [bnib] going spare if you are interested,
no good to me as I now have TPMS fitted.

pm me if you want them.

If you have rubber valves, then you don't have hollow spoke alloys, and the metal valves won't fit.
Early Turbos were fitted with "Turbo II Look" alloys, which had rubber valves. Hollow spoke Turbo II and Sport Technos were an option on early ones, and Turbo II's were standard from about 2002 onwards.
What valve covers did you have? What part of the valve has actually failed?
The internals are removable with a valve tool, so easily replaceable, or has the cover stuck to the valve
I've just fitted the tequipment ones to mine, and I think that they are alloy.
Pretty sure that they will probbaly react with the steel in the valve, so might remove them and fit them for nice days only...
All tyre shops will have a stock of normal valves. I've still got the tequipment ones that came with my covers if you need them
This is a section through the rim of a hollow spoke alloy. You can see that it needs the 'O' ring on the outside to seal the cavity (which extends to the spokes).
Also shown is the difference between the two wheels (Turbo II Look, and Turbo II). Feel behind the spokes - if you can feel the two ridges, the you have Turbo II Looks.
