Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Thanks again guys I installed some Cree Amber LED signals and the relay.
Leading evidence: 'Install some cree amber led signals and the relay' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Disconnect resistors' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.

I replaced the front turn signal lights with 1156 LED (CREE) Ambers and they are nice and bright.

I had to do the same thing when I changed over to LED headlights and tail lights.

Suggestion
I imagine I can disconnect the resistors that came with the Dectane rear LED tails.the new relay is a little quieter too.

I wanted to change out my flashers to a type that shows white (as running lights) when not flashing, but flashes orange when the turn signals are used.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Need help / advice with an 996 C4 tiptronic that won't start without OBD connected.
Symptoms:
Car won't start, but when connecting a simple OBD reader the car starts.
Keys can lock and unlock the car, dashboard light etc works fine even without OBD connected. Fuses under steering wheel ok. Brake switch ok.
Anyone that have had the same issue or have some ideas where to start troubleshooting?
Thx
Under driver side dash. upper right from fusebox.
Has number 191 on it. Leave hazard on and reach underneath. You can feel around and 1 of the square relays will be "clicking"
Thanks just as you guys mentioned it was there in plain sight. #191. I replaced the front turn signal lights with 1156 LED (CREE) Ambers and they are nice and bright. Rather than do resistors to fix the hyperflashing I'm swapping out the signal relay. Ordered a replacement on ebay. The single bulb LEDs are clear so this gets rid of the yolking in the signal housing.
Thanks again guys I installed some Cree Amber LED signals and the relay. The turn signal area is clear now with no yellow yolk reflection and it looks very modern when it lights up. I imagine I can disconnect the resistors that came with the Dectane rear LED tails.the new relay is a little quieter too.

What is meant by this quote above? I wanted to change out my flashers to a type that shows white (as running lights) when not flashing, but flashes orange when the turn signals are used. The way the bulb fits into the assembly made me think twice about tackling the conversion.
PS - I had the same issue with the HID version of the H3 (Fog) and the retainer clip mismatch.
"Can you tell me which kind of led lights you got? I tried a few amber leds but dont like the shade of color. Thanks! "
Sorry for the delay. I just bought these off of ebay and have been happy. The are not insane bright but certainly bright enough. You do have to file off one of the pins to make it work as the 1156 has a different pin orientation.

Mine operate strictly as turn signals no DRL. What is meant is there is no yellow reflection inside the turn signal section of the lens. A stock incandescent bulb will have a yellow reflection.
