Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

1 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

1 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1Original post

So I brought my CS in today to have the trunk clunk fixed, and they installed the repair kit: 987.512.925.00 On my drive home, the same bumps that caused the clunk previously are now much more annoying "clank" sounds that are more metallic in nature. Has anyone else experienced this after the official 'fix'? When I called the service tech, she said that it must be something else causing the sound, since applying the official 'fix' did not solve the original problem. Does this logic make sense? To me, since the only thing they did was to work on the vibration damper weight, and now I have the clank sound (when it was a clunk sound previously), I would think today's work is now causing the clank sound. Thoughts? Thanks for your input! :helpme:
