Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I tried to eject a cd from the cd player in my car (997.2) and no joy - just a line beneath the local map saying 'CD player has a mechanical error'. Turned off the cd player and then the car and no improvement. I could hear the cd mechanism trying to eject the actual cd, but it wouldn't work. Any tricks to get it to eject and work? Can these cd players be repaired or do they need replacing? Any idea on costs? Thanks.
