I have swapped the drivers side secondary O2 sensor with the passenger side and it still throws the same code so it's not the sensor.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

My car is an 07 cayman S with 41,000 miles miles. Over the last year I have been dealing with the car throwing a P0421 code which is a catalytic converter warm up error. I have swapped the drivers side secondary O2 sensor with the passenger side and it still throws the same code so it's not the sensor. It makes me think it's probably the cats going bad. However the car runs just fine. Would it run fine in the early stages of cats going bad? If they do need replacement what are my best options? I think OEM will be extraordinarily expensive. I currently have a Borla Catback exhaust which sounds amazing. Would going completely catless make the car obnoxiously loud? looking for comments on headers vs some other brand of sport cats.

POST 2Original post

Just saw a set posted on ******** for sale this morning... I'd try talking him down a bit. (for 42k mile OEM headers, ~$300 seems like a common list price) 987 OEM catalytic converter/headers - ******** Discussion Forums If you go catless, don't forget to budget software for cat delete.

POST 3Original post

maybe you'd try something like the vibrant 11621 o2 sensor spacer. Just something to think about.

POST 4Original post

Can you elaborate how vibrant O2 sensor would help?
