Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.

0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.

Suggestion

Installation is more involved, more wiring to run fore and aft and 2 small LED's to mount somewhere in the instrument cluster.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

5 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Here's some pictures of my new car. Sorry the images are large, I just figured out how to do the picture posting. I'm getting the M030 suspension installed this week at the dealership. I've also decided to order the 542r's from The Racer's Group. The only thing that will then be missing are the instrument bezels from Bumperplugs.com. I love this car!

POST 3Original post

Robert, Congrats! I've got a 911 coming a month and was wondering whether to do Valentine 1 or K40. My dealer is pushing the K40, but I've heard V1 is better. How did you decide to go with the V1? Who did the hardwire install for you?

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Speedy g, I've been a V1 user for 5 years now. There is, in my opinion, no better radar detector on the market. The arrows truly make a difference. I had the unit wired in by the dealership. They told me that the instructions that come with the unit made it a very simple deal to install. Hope that helps!

POST 5Original post

Any dealership or good car audio/alarm installer can do the hardwire (it's more knowing how to remove trim properly than electrical knowledge; the V1 hardwire kit is very good) I own 2 V1's.....simply the best glass mounted detector IMHO....as an electrical engineer. The K40 is a different system, more expensive, but definite stealth. Comparable to the V1 in sensitivity (radar) and allows for a more optimum laser detector placement than the V1. Installation is more involved, more wiring to run fore and aft and 2 small LED's to mount somewhere in the instrument cluster. I believe if you search, there are some pics of K40 installations.
