Security fault FIXED
Every time I drive away or come to a stop, the door locks cycle and the horn beeps twice. Happened yesterday and a couple months ago. Search last time told me, it is a fault in the security system. I disconnect the battery and it goes back to normal. No big deal but makes me wonder whats causing it. Anyone else deal with this ?
Do you drive the car regularly? Could be a low voltage situation?
I drive it almost every day. Battery is 1 year old. Was fine Tuesday and the next day, click, beep, beep.
Check the rear view mirror for coyotes.

click, beep beep.
Can this be turned off with a Durametric ? Always hated the auto door locks anyway. I may find the horn and pull the plug tomorrow.
Fixed.
Paper towels in the center console seemed to be interfering with that lock. Moved them around and the fault has not come back. I didnt even know it had a lock.
Glad you liked the RR comment. I know the dealer can turn off the beep-beep when locking the car.
Problem is back. I just need to stop the beeping for now. Can someone tell me what fuse to pull, or how to unhook the horn ?
I took out the fuse for the locks and they stopped clicking and then I had to take out the horn fuse because it was still beeping even though the locks stopped clicking. Now the hatch does not open and the spoiler will not function. Has to be a problem in the drivers door. I just will not lock without using the key.
BIG thenaks to eyeofthetiger-.:cheers: He told me the location of the security horn. I unplugged it and replaced the fuse. Now, at least I can drive without clicking and beep beeping.
I will check into getting it fixed next week.
no problem! i was trying to make sure you weren't deprived of your car for too long
enjoy the weekend!
