Suggestion

I used to run TR1's on my 400bhp Tuscan without any issues, however I doin't think I'd trust them on anything heavy.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

10 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • PistonHeads: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Wondered if anyone had tried Toyo Proxes on their 911. Thinking of putting them on my 996 as they look really good value for money!

POST 2Original post

If they are like the ones on my evo then I wouldn't bother. Too much sidewall flex for my liking.

POST 3Original post

They’re ok for Rice boxes but I wouldn’t put them on a 911 personally.

Like the 911, it needs a stiff sidewall False economy IMO - dig deeper for any Pilot Sport - the “normal” 4, not the 4S, were decent on my 996 c2 … I’ve got 4S on my 996T now but I don’t think you can get the rears in normal 996 format

Here’s what happened to the last Porsche owner who fitted Toyo proxes… Stick to the Michelins if you can.

POST 6Original post

It may well have an adverse effect on your insurance if you were to make a claim

POST 7 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks for responses everyone, going to go with Michelins!
