Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I used the Short Shift fitting guide from BM Racing.

Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi guys
Had a bit of aa result yesterday, I bought a GT Silver centre console. Its not genuine but had been sprayed.
I fitted it last night and it looks the nuts - a doddle to do as well!
To all those a bit nervous about stripping it out, don't be. I am a mechanical moron and as long as you have the correct size Star tools you will be fine. I used the Short Shift fitting guide from BM Racing.
£600 factory option, £190 from Douglas Valley for one from a scarpper or £45 for a sprayed one from ebay. You decide!
Just need to see how long the paint lasts..........
Cheers
Ben
I didn't take any 'during' photos as the missus was calling me in for dinner - its like being a child! "You are always playing with that bloody car etc etc "
So here is a before and after shot. Hope you agree it looks much better!
Looks good! :thumb:
Does anyone know the process of getting the plastic trims painted...
Is there a special process for painting the plastic etc?
- What the paint be different type then usual?
Thinking of getting the bits sprayed to silver.... as shown..
The lecky window switches need to come out, no big deal but true to form I got all excited and stuck them back in - forgetting to test them.
This morning when I got in the car, I tested them - they work, but I put them in back to front. They are at least on the correct side but you press the up switch to lower the window and down to raise it.
To be honest though I can't be arsed taking it apart again to swap them over!
:frustrated:
