Although the hinge repair kit is a beefed version of original weak design, with the "bumps" in place, any down-force will act to hold the lid in place on the non-slip rubber feet.

The hinges on my centre armrest have snapped off today. Does anybody know if you can just replace the hinge, or do you have to replace armrest too ? Any advice appreciated.

+1 You beat me to it. AFAIK they were about £12 from OPC and if in driving distance: no delivery charge (or waiting) involved. When you fit it, make sure you buy some small/slim rubber disc feet (non-slip "bumps" for electronic gizmos from Maplin etc). Fit 2-4 underneath armrest lid at front/side. That way, the original down/sideways force of an arm, erm, resting or leaning over the arm rest will not shear the hinge again. Although the hinge repair kit is a beefed version of original weak design, with the "bumps" in place, any down-force will act to hold the lid in place on the non-slip rubber feet. I fitted mine the other day, was v simple, you just need a drill and a pop rivet gun, which my neighbour luckily had! V simple, not sure why its taken me a year to fit since buying! ;-)

I know we all drive, ahem, phallic extensions (as my non-Porsche owning friends refer to GT4) ... but it's not that bloody small!
