I intend to take a look this weekend and see the state of the coils, now here's the question, how are the cylinders numbered and does anyone have any hints for changing coil packs ?

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I had my 2001 C2's management system read recently which revealed an occasional misfire from Cylinder 6 believed to be caused by a cracked coil pack. I intend to take a look this weekend and see the state of the coils, now here's the question, how are the cylinders numbered and does anyone have any hints for changing coil packs ? I've had a fair search around on the web etc but without luck so far! many thanks John

POST 2Original post

Here is the cylinder designation. I'll let others give you tips and tricks about the coil packs, as it's a different job on my Turbo. Be careful with the connectors is the only advice I can give.
