Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have made a change to my 996 and the rollbar will not work with my very custom sub enclosure. I will rebuild an enclosure to work with the rollbar and would like to sell this for a reasonable amount. This was about $3000.00 worth of custom fiberglass mold work and is almost unoticable in the car unless you are told it is there. It fits the rear passanger seat mold and sets about two inches behind the seat back when a 5'10'' passanger is riding in the front seats. The enclosure carries about 1.25 cubic feet of internal airspace(filled it with packing peanuts and then measured the same volume in a box) and comes with a Boston Acoustic 10" sub. It is a sealed enclosure and on a nice amp will hit pretty hard but is also very accurate as well. The seat cushions do not come with the box and the leather below the cushion can be dyed to match your interior color and replaced as well. This is truly a work of craftsmanship. .

POST 2Original post

I want to place my subwoofer behind my seat on the floor of the rear passenger seat. I'm going to make a custom size box for it. I don't like the sub in the very back it's too expose. Any pics thanks!

POST 3Original post

That's definately a fiberglass box with a lot of work involved...

POST 4Original post

You must be about five feet tall or thereabouts? You need a certain box volume to drive a certain size woofer, the height of which will most certainly mean you won't be able to move the seat back. Good luck. Can you post some pics when you are done?

POST 5Original post

Eh bro, are you bringing this out to the road rally in Melissa, TX on Saturday? May pick up a buyer quick...

POST 6Original post

I made this one for behind the back seats. I wanted to maintain full use of the rear seats if I ever need them. I put in 2 x 6 inch subs that only required 0.15 cu ft. They sound great! The windows are tinted so you can't see the box unless you are really looking for it.

POST 7Original post

Enclosure looks as impressive as the car from which it came from. GL with the sale.

POST 8Original post

I'm not looking for fancy looking sub box. Just regular box that isn't too expose when you look in the car. Behind the seat would be a good idea. The car is gonna be street/track so I can't build it in. It has to be removable by unhooking the speaker wires easily.

Quote: BigMac78, Probably won't make the run. It's 37 outside right now (7am) and rain is on the way. The 335's on the rear with no traction control sucks on the Mich PS2's. When it get temp gets this low they get hard as a rock.. You are very welcome to come by and check it out...I am near 635/Tollway area. I will PM you my number. I also have made a drivers side enclosure now as well.

POST 10Original post

I have a box just like SLIDER'S but whit two 8" only . I will post some pics tonight .

POST 11Original post

LowStro9, I know this is FOREVER ago but just wondering if you have any more of the fiberglass enclosures for the rear seats? I have a 2008 997 C4S cabriolet and love the way those look. Any help would be appreciated. Also, what did you use to power those?

POST 13Original post

12" sub. Fold down the seat and unclip the wires from the terminal cup. Easy out, easy in.

POST 14Original post

I've seen some behind the driver seat. On the floor
