Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

11 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Gentlemen, start your witty comments... So I've had my '99 Cab for about 6 months; daily driver. I sit in front of the steering wheel almost every day. Yesterday, I look down and I see this (photo below). WTF?!? I'm pretty sure it's been like that since the day I bought it, but I never noticed. Pretty observant, right? :-) Is this a common problem? Anyone tried to repair or replace the Porsche crest?

POST 2Original post

Just be careful how you fix it, that's potentially an airbag powered missile aiming at your head...

POST 3Original post

Mine's a little scratched up and I need to replace it too... Let me know how it goes.

Thanks, Pete. I'm glad I'm not the only one. Three of the Red "stripes" in the Porsche crest logo are missing. Not sure how to fix this. A bit of glossy red paint perhaps? The remaining red stripe is somewhat translucent, so it would be hard to match I suppose. Anyone else ever see this?

POST 6Original post

model paint and a very very small brush. I believe some did this before.

POST 7Original post

Stuttgart's coat of arms black horse is notorious for eating the red stripes only. However it's the first time I see the horse eating the stripes on the right side. John

POST 8Original post

I saw it but you gave away the answer already Thats funny (well... not funny, but, you know)

POST 9 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I've always loved the Porsche logo. Such a classic coat-of-arms thing. Maybe I'll keep it this way. I have a one-of-a-kind incarnation of the Porsche Crest.

POST 11Original post

Check with Dallas Custom Steering Wheel...I think they can swap the crest...
