Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Still looking for a 996 and having looked at a few i am struggling to get comfy in the driving position. I know there is a lever under the wheel which pulls out but i couldnt seem to make the wheel move. What am i doing wrong fellas?

POST 2Original post

The lever allows for in/out movement, there is no up/down adjustment. Mine is really tight, have to push and pull pretty hard! I have the wheel almost out fully and the seat back pretty upright, each to their own

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Seriously?? No up / down - i can't get my legs under it! It felt like driving my dads TR6. :frustrated: will have to have a good play with seating position i think.

POST 4Original post

I have the same problem with getting legs under the steering wheel when it is at closest setting to dashboard. I recommend pulling it right out which creates more clearance.

POST 5Original post

Wheel all the way out, seat all the way down and buy some really flat soled shoes - makes a surprising difference if you were wearing trainers.

POST 6Original post

Look for one with a 3-spoke wheel as it's about 1.5" smaller than the 4 spoke, and gives more leg room. This was standard on the facelift (2002 MY), and they also lowered the seats by about 1/2" giving even more leg room
