Yes had pondered these but the RS6 forum tells horror stories of running costs, suspension issues etc etc

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • 911uk: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Due to limited garage space I have thought of storing the Turbo S Cab to buy something else ( I had thought of selling the Turbo S but not sure thats its a great idea) But what to replace it with for a year say - something different as otherwise there is no point M5 Merc E55 AMG Audi S8 V10 Audi S6 V10 Jaguar XJR ( not sure on that one) You can see the idea - fast with comfort ! Its old age creeping in? Thanks - ideas welcomed

POST 2Original post

CL63 amg E63 black edeition......... should fit the bill.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Turbo S Should have added , budget of £25,000 That rules out the suggested C63 and black editions Nice thought though

POST 5Original post

I had an RS6 4.2 V8. You could get a minter well within budget and have change for coilovers (a MUST) and fuel (definitely a MUST!)

POST 6 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

RS6 Yes had pondered these but the RS6 forum tells horror stories of running costs, suspension issues etc etc They even talk about an annual budget of £8000 to keep them in top condition . Too much

POST 7Original post

OK then at £25 its the E55 or M5. You'd get a better lower mileage E55 Or how about the twin turbo V12 CL600 coupe 2003 on. Nice looking very comfortable and blindingly fast (and can be chipped)

POST 8Original post

All I know is the xj is a pile of poo to drive. Feels so distant and wooly to drive, plus it is very thirsty! M5 would be the way I'd go or maybe a masarati!
