Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

8 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

Which is a good HID Xenon kit ? Cheers Mark

POST 2Original post

Hi Mark, i bought a slim line hid kit from http://www.hids-direct.co.uk/hid-co...im-single-beam-hid-conversion-kits-p-457.html i think you can find the same kit on ebay cheaper now  i bought 50W H7 6000K and they work perfect, you will wonder how you drove with the old lights after you fit these The 6000k give a nice white light, not the chavvy blue this is worth a read http://www.6speedonline.com/forums/996/204704-lighting-upgrades.html :bye:

POST 3Original post

gixxeruk, were they easy/a good fit, and how reliable have they been?

POST 4Original post

they were easy to fit and detach with the headlight so no problems with wires etc, i attached the ballast to the rear of the headlight unit (on the door) both of my brothers have 911's and they have done this also, (touch wood) none of us have had any issues :thumb: they make the car look 10yrs newer and they are much much safer than the oem lights I sold my 350z to buy the 996 and i was really disappointed with the lights hth

Hi Guys, Im extremely particular with my car and researcehed this well and found that the hids4u kit is up there with the best. The company is great to deal with with no problems if anything needs returning and the price simply cant be beaten. The gorgeous blue tinge of the lights is well worth the price. http://www.hids4u.co.uk/ ps. im sure you get a discount if you mention 'total911' Regards Peter

I also upgraded my 996 C2 Cab, using the HID4U Kits for the Dipped Beam, and changed Main Beam, Fogs and Side Light Bulbs to uprated and colour matched ..... At last can be seen and can see at night. I confess to having them all fitted by my independent, who had to advise me that these units are not strictly legal, as the Xenon lights should be installed along with self-levelling .... could get MOT fail, and may pose issue with insurance . Hi, on mine the level control still works as the garage installed it that way! They work great! It can be done. Peter
